Guanacaste, where the sun always shines

Guanacaste is home to several of Costa Rica’s most stunning beaches. The warm Pacific waters wash up to beautiful distinctive beaches which woo tourists year after year. In Guanacaste, tourists are bound to experience the sun, the sand and the waves in a very unique and unforgettable way.
Beaches in Guanacaste unfold for miles and miles of white or black sand surrounded by either small villages, unspoiled lush vegetation or vibrant tourist packed towns.
Guanacaste is home to three fourths of the country’s beach infrastructure due to the region’s impressive beauty and warmth. Travelers from all destinations and with different budgets will be able to find a place which best suits his or her needs. Luxurious Beach Resort complexes to cheap Costa Rica hotels are easily found throughout the northern coast.
Beaches in Guanacaste also cater to all needs. The white sand and soft waved beaches are perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a refreshing swim, sail or scuba dive while the darker sand beaches burst with first class waves which attract avid surfers from around the world.
Accommodations in Guanacaste are noticeably distributed throughout the region’s northern and southern area. The top luxury five star resorts are located in Guanacaste’s northern area while the most accessible lodging is found in the southern part. Guanacaste is also home to beautiful volcanoes such as the Miravalles, Rincon de la Vieja and Tenorio with their own hot springs, geysers and blue colored lagoons : all easily accessible by means of safe paths in national parks.
